Outdoor Living in the Summer

It's summer time in Chicago and time to take advantage of our verandas, decks, porches, and backyards; bring the feel of home outside to enjoy the warm, sunny days.  Creating a styled look can be easy.  Simply start with some splashes of color in pillows, accessories, and drapes to set off your patio furniture.  Select 3 - 4 colors for a palette and use them to pull the look together.  You should have a casual, simple feel to the area when finished.  Whether you prefer a soft neutral look or a bit more color, these photos will show you how effortless pulling together a great outdoor space can be.

Enjoy your summer!

    Master Bedroom Color

Picking a palette for your bedroom can often be a struggle.  We want it to be a personal expressiion of who we are.  It's a place where we sleep, dress, read, watch TV, or just hang out.  Usually, we look for it to be an inviting place to relax.  However, this doesn't mean we have to go with the usual neutrals of whites and beiges... no, other colors can also act as neutrals and be just as inviting... see some examples below.

    Gray & Red - Sophisticated

    Green & Blue - Relaxing

    Soft Blue - Soothing

    Blue-Green & Gray - Stylish

    Brown & Orange - Tranquil

    Orange- Warm & Cozy
